CITY OF BERLIN

Doing research on Ancestry site and note that one of my Ancestors worked on this ship as a Fireman. The date was 18/01/1879. He was on one of the trips from Ireland to Liverpool. Laurence Walsh finshed his duties on 20/02/1879 and was awarded £4.10 pay reduced to £3.72 after deductions! His first day of duty was in January as above at the time of 6 a.m. I am guessing it did not take a month to complete the journey so summise many crossings were made!!
