I believe that Fabian McCleman was, in fact, my ggg grandfather, Felix McLaren, from County Down, Northern Ireland. He later stated that he was a passenger on the William Nicol in 1840, but his name is not on the passenger list. For some reason he has travelled under another name or mistakes have been made in reading handwriting. Wondering if anyone has any comments about this.

Just found this post you sent last year and agree they are possibles and indeed may have travelled under an alias name. especially if the ages are right.
