The passengers correct spelling is Samuel Shepperd. wife Susan and 5 little people. The bloke,s my GG Grandfather .... I know people were illiterate in 1848 but Now 2018 its GOTTA be corrected . His stonemasonry was legendary in Noarlunga and around Pt. Lincoln Sth. Aust. Spell it RIGHT , get it RIGHT for history .

Trove lists the arrival of the Duke of Bedford in 1848 as the 5th of Nov. My Great Great Grandparents and Son were onboard. RJ and Dina Trezise.

The above date is correct. Duke of Bedford arrived Pt. Adelaide 4 December 1848. Trip took 107 days.
