My great great grandfather and his family were on this ship before they settled in Victoria.

I am researching the Lawson family who arrived in Port Adelaide, Australia on 16 January 1839 on board the Indus, following a voyage from Dundee in Scotland. Alexander Lawson, his wife (name unknown) and his daughters Jean and Mary Lawson arrived in Australia. On that date. Any information concerning the name of Alexander’s wife would be gratefully accepted.
